Merry Christmas everbody!

At last! 

Here are the two last additional parts of the Retro Holly Jolly kit. The plan was to upload them seperately, but I have no idea when I'll have the time the next few days, so I'm going to share them both at once, here on the blog.

I think this will be the last time I'll be posting before the holidays, so I really would like to take time to thank all of you who have been downloading my kits the last couple of months. It's been wonderful to do some digital designing again, and I'm sure I'm going to keep doing it, for sure when the busy festive days are over and I'll have some time to sit down and start designing a new kit. I already have some ideas and of course I'll be participating in the next Pixel Scrapper blogtrain, with the Science Fiction theme. I finished it a while ago, and I struggled a lot with this one! I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out, but I think it's not my best work though, haha. I actually love Science Fiction, but somehow I found it very hard to translate it in some useful stuff for a scrapbooking kit. 

A little reminder for you as well; both Free Spirit kits will be taken down next weekend, so you better be fast if you still like to download it. 

For now, I'm wishing everyone a very merry Christmas. I hope you can all relax for a while and enjoy the festive days, like we're going to do (hopefully).

Christmas around the corner

It's been a week since I posted the first extra part from Retro Holly Jolly. It's been such a busy week, the hectic days before Christmas I guess, that I haven't had the time to  post more. But I always keep my promise, so here I am with another part for you.  I will be posting this on my Facebook Group, so you better be heading there if you'd like to grab it.  Maybe I'll be posting it here on the blog after Christmas, but for now it will just be on there. 

This part contains 54 more elements, and they combine with the original blog train part beautifully.

Retro Holly Jolly Extra

Hello! 

First I want to say THANK YOU for downloading my Retro Holly Jolly kit so many times! It's great to know you like this all so much. I'm liking it too and already started some layouts using it, maybe I'll post them later this month, maybe even a Quickpage for a freebie, who knows? 

Anyway, here's the first of 4 extra parts of the Retro Holly Jolly kit. It contains 10 papers that didn't make it into the blogtrain. 

The next parts will be a pack with 54 elements and 2 more paperpacks. They will be up in the 2 weeks leading up to Christmas, and I will post them on my Facebook group, Deviantart or on here. 
I will keep you posted here on the blog, so you can keep an eye out for them. 

I hope these papers will be of use to you, they're perfect for combining with the Christmas kit, but most papers can also be used for other types of layouts.

Letting you know

Hello again, 

Today's just a little reminder that by the end of this week my kit 'Touch Of Frost' will no longer be available on my blog. I will take it down on the 7th of December, so if you like it and don't have it yet, be quick to download it.

The last few days I noticed a lot of traffic on my blog and on my downloadpages at Mediafire. The kits 'Free Spirit' and 'Retro Holly Jolly' have been downloaded hundreds of times, in just a few days time, which is really nice to know. I'm glad you all like my work and of course this inspires me to keep making freebies. Many of you leave messages and sincerely appreciate my work, and that's why I share my digital goodies.  I also would like to point out that I really enjoy reading your feedback, or even a simple 'thank you' after you've downloaded my products. Seeing the numbers of downloads on the hosting sites is great, but also very 'abstract' if you know what I mean. It's nice to maybe get to know a bit more of the people who are downloading my kits. I've learned that people from all over the world have been downloading the kits, from Russia, Europe, the US and even Australia. It is so nice to know that, it makes it more 'special', since I'm Dutch and don't usually 'talk' to people from all corners of the world. So please keep that going! 💖

When I download products from other designers, I always try to find a place where I can leave a 'thank you'. It's just a confirmation to the designer that his/her hard work is very much appreciated.

Hello December!

And yes, December's here. Great times ahead with the holidays, and of course for digiscrapping. 

The second blogtrain I joined on Pixel Scrapper is a good old-fashioned Christmas kit. The colours are beautiful, muted and pastel. 

I loved this theme so much, although I had a hard time getting into the Holly Jolly mood, but that was only because it still was October when I started designing it and the weather was way too sunny and too warm to think of winter and Christmas. 

I think the kit turned out really cute, I love the penguin I drew, and although I don't think there are a lot of 'retro' items in this kit, it is still very useful for your Christmas photos. 

The other thing I found somewhat difficult, was to stop designing. 😂 The kit has become way too big to join the blogtrain, so I had to split it up in different parts. The first parts are for the Pixel Scrapper blogtrain, the other parts will be available on my blog and Facebook group during the month of December. If you don't want to miss out, just check my blog regularly and I will let you know when and where to get it. 

For now, here is my contribution for the Pixel Scrapper Blogtrain, I hope you like it and that you can make beautiful Christmas layouts with it.

Are you in the mood for Christmas yet?

Retro Holly Jolly spoiler 😉 

Oh my, it's almost December. This year went by so fast, I can hardly get my head around it that Christmas is around the corner, yet again.  

Today I have a little spoiler for you, a preview of my kit Retro Holly Jolly. 

It contains the Pixel Scrapper blogtrain contribution and the extended versions for my blog and Facebook group, which makes it a very large Christmas kit. 

The first parts will be available on December 1st, and during December I will upload the other parts, so stay tuned for that! 

Also stay tuned for the other part of the Free Spirit kit, which will be released this week too.

Free Spirit

Soo... Pink isn't really my colour.
I've never been that kind of girl who had her whole room decorated with pink, princessy, girly stuff. Oh yes, I've played with dolls, a lot to be honest. But I never was that obsessed with them being dressed in pink and I honestly can't remember ever wearing pink clothes myself... at least as a unicoloured item. Maybe if there are pink flowers on a shirt, or even a bright pink for my nails in summer.... I'd wear it, but that's as far as it goes. I don't hate it... I just don't LOVE it. As long as I can remember blue has been my colour. Especially the aqua blues (and greens), beautiful turquoise and petrol. And it still is actually. 
But when I collected some CU items to use for a next kit, I came across the colour palette that I used for this kit and I actually loved it. There may be pink in it, I think it came out as a classy, chic kit, a bit bohemian and sparkly.

Here are the previews of both kits, the first one is with pink/black/gold, the other one is with more copper, beige, sammon tints. The kits will be online within the next week, so keep an eye out for it. 

Just Love Add-On

November 15th, 2013 was a very special day for me. 💓😉

So today, 5 years later, I want to share this with my followers/viewers/readers and offer an add-on for the kit Just Love. It's just a minikit with stuff that didn't get to go in the big kit. It will be available until January 2019, unlike the full kit, that will only be available as a freebie for  another week. If you don't want to miss out, get it now. 😁

Then also, this week is the last week some of my kits will be available as freebies. A Soft Touch is already taken down and Autumn Day and Say Boo will be taken down by the end of this week. If you haven't got them yet, I can only remind you to download them now before they are no longer available. 

The good news is, I have a few new kits planned and they will go online in the next few weeks. One kit is called Free Spirit and it's a large one, in 2 different colourschemes, so you can choose, or just grab them both. The kit is in a bohemian theme, hippie style, or however you like to call it. I will show some previews next week, it's definitely a fancy kit in soft colours. 
Then of course, we have a Christmas kit, the blogtrain theme Retro Holly Jolly, that will go online on December 1st. So, enough to keep you busy scrapping for the coming months. Until then, have fun with the goodies and let me know what you think. xx

Last few days for A Soft Touch

It's Just Love

Hello! 

Today I have a kit for you that I first made in 2012, called Just Love. I upgraded it and added a lot of new elements and papers because I love the colour palette and think it's a really nice 'November' kit. 

And because me and my Mr. 😍 are celebrating our anniversary of 5 years, later next week. 💖
In 2013 we got to know eachother and my life changed so much when we met. I really feel like those 5 years have gone by so fast, and every single day was a blessing. Together we are so strong, and I feel like I can do anything because of 'him'. We've been through a lot together, but I know nothing can come between us. Every day I wake up happy, and each night  I go to bed happy. And that's how it's supposed to be! 

So for this little celebration, I bring you this gift. It's in 6 parts, the files are not too large. There's also a part 7, an AddOn, that I'm saving for later, as a special download for people who are taking the time to leave a message below. But I will explain all that later, in a few days. 😉

I've returned my files to Mediafire, Sendspace was not working for me, the files take a loooong time to download. As soon as I find another hosting site, I will let you know.

Monday monday

Goodmorning, 

Monday is NOT my favorite day of the week, but today I have a day off from work, so I can get some other things done in and around the house. The weather is ok, but it's grey though, no sun today so it definitely feels like autumn now. 

Then I have a brandnew set of greyscaled patterned and textured overlays for you, for PU & CU, so use it anyway you like. Please let me know what you think of them and leave a reaction below if you like. 

I'll be back with a cute minikit too within a few days, so be on the lookout for that.

Just a note..

I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who downloaded my kit Family Traditions, I'm really glad you like it! 

Then I noticed that the downloadlinks on Mediafire for the 'Say Boo' kit aren't working (well), so I've transferred the files to Google Drive and now you can download them there. I fixed the links in the post for October 31st so go there if you haven't managed to get it, you can now give it another try.  I'm kinda proud of this kit, it was a great one to work on and I think it turned out pretty cute, so I really love sharing it with you. It will be available until November 14th, so get it while you can. ;-)

Family Traditions

Hello November! 

This is my first contribution for a blogtrain on the forums of Pixel Scrapper. The theme was 'Family Traditions' and I didn't find it very easy. In Holland we don't have Thanksgiving or anything and using a typical Dutch tradition isn't really useful for all the (mostly) American scrappers. 

So I kept it basic, making use of the colour palette, with elements and papers that will be of use for anyone with a family, friends or pets.. really. 😉

The rest of the blogtrain is really amazing, and very divers! It's nice to see how one theme can be translated in so many different ways. If you'd like to grab the other parts of this blogtrain, go to the Pixel Scrapper forums and you'll find a list of all the contributions. 

The next blogtrain will be a Christmas themed one, and I've already started designing (a few weeks ago already, lol)! It's so much fun to do, the colour palette is amazing and the theme is Retro Holly Jolly. So it will be a fun kit over all I guess! I know my part will be a big one, or for download available in many parts, on the forums and on here, because well... it's a Christmas kit and I like to bring gifts. For now, here is the minikit of Family Traditions. The download button will direct you to the Dropbox download links.

Say Boooooo!

Happy Halloween! 

Halloween isn't a 'real' holiday in The Netherlands, and not celebrated like in other parts of the world.  But, I think it's a great themeday, the scary stuff, the dressing up, and of course trick & treat (for the kids 😁 ) . 
So I thought I'd make a minikit, especially for those people who do celebrate this holiday and who will make lots of pictures of their & their kids' scary costumes and party's. 

I began a few days ago.. thinking it definitely would be a small kit, with about 20 elements and 10 papers. Well... that didn't work out, haha. I couldn't stop designing all these cute little figures and things, and I tried to add a few pretty scary elements too. 

Soooo.. here's the 'MINI' kit, with over 40 elements and 24 papers, as a freebie for you! It will be available for 2 weeks, so be sure to grab it!

Overlays 2

Hiya,

Here's another freebie for you, the second set of 8 textured and patterned overlays in grayscale so you can colour and adjust them to your own needs. I still have hundreds of textured and patterned papers to go through, but these ones I've used here and there in my own projects. I hope you can use them too! Touch of Frost

Although it's still October, and the weather is still gorgeous with lots of sunshine, I can feel it getting colder at night and in the morning when I'm off to work on my bike. 

It's just waiting for the frosty nights now. I'm not too big of a fan of winter, I really don't like the cold, but the last months of the year are not that bad, so many festive days and cozy days inside. 

So I thought this kit would be very appropriate for  the coming months. It's not a Christmas kit (I'm currently working on one and it's been a  struggle to get into the Christmas feel, lol), just a winter themed kit with lovely cool colours and I love how it turned out in the end. Originally it was a kit from 2009, but I upgraded it and made a whole bunch of new elements and papers. I'm particularly proud of the little polar bear I drew, it's so adorable.

Overlays

A little extra! 

Today I have 10 textured overlays for you. These were all scanned, extracted and adjusted from some lovely papers I've had in my stash for years and years. 

I hope you can use them for your projects, they are all greyscaled, so you can color them however you like. They are for personal and commercial use. Have fun with them!

New freebies coming soon!

Hello all,

And another few weeks have passed.. pffeww. Where does the time go? I've been doing a lot of designing lately, and I'm also still in the middle of 'Inktober', an online challenge to draw only with ink, every day of the month. I've already skipped a few days because I couldn't find the time to just sit for a moment and draw, but hey, I'm good with it. I love drawing and painting and find I'm not doing it enough, so Inktober is a good way to get back in the swing of things, as far as drawing goes. 

But.. I've also worked on 2 kits for the coming month of November. One will be released later this week, it's called Touch of Frost and the other one (Family Tradition) will be online on November 1st. Family Tradition is a Pixel Scrapper blogtrain contribution, the first one I ever did. Touch of Frost is another upgraded kit, originally from 2009. Although, upgraded... almost every bit got renewed or was designed from scratch, so actually it's a new kit over all. ;-)

As a spoiler, I'm showing you a preview of Touch of Frost. I hope you will like it and enjoy using it. In a few days the downloadlinks will be available!

The last day of September!

Wow.. summer is officially over now, the last day of September has arrived. I do love fall though, with its beautiful colours and cozy days inside. Today is a sunny day over here in The Netherlands, nice and bright and not too cold yet. So I think we will go for a walk in the woods this afternoon.

This 'new' kit Autumn Day  ('officially' designed in 2009), is pretty perfect for the sunny days in autumn, with a great color scheme to start with. I've designed quite a few new elements and papers to upgrade it just a little and to have more choice with your layouts. I think it turned out pretty cute, I already did one page with it, with pictures of my son in the early fall of 2017. When you scroll down, you'll see that page, just as an example what can be done with this kit. 

I will post the links of 2 paperpacks and the elementpack today, and then tomorrow another 2 parts, 1 paperpack and a pack with journal cards and wordart. The last 2 parts are completely new designs and I'm particularly proud of the journal cards and wordart, so stay tuned for those. 

I hope you'll have a beautiful fall and I'll be back soon with another upgraded kit, called 'A Touch of Frost', with a truly wonderful colourscheme, it's so much fun to work on.
